The Great War Podcast
The Goal
I've always been a huge history buff. So for the hundred year anniversary of the First World War I decided to take on some pro-bono work by helping rebrand a popular history podcast on the subject. The Great War Podcast is amazing, but its website was out of date and hard to use, so I reached out to the host about redesigning it and switching from PodBean to WordPress.
My Role
I am currently working with the host to implement a snazzy new brand, along with setting him up on a new CMS and CRM. For the hero graphic on the homepage I had the idea to create a cinemagraph behind the logo. It's a subtle touch, but the smoke rising from the rubble makes the 1917 photograph of soldiers charging across No Man's Land extremely dramatic and impactful.
